Prescribed Fire and Wilderness, featured in RMRS Science You Can Use in 5 Minutes

Released today, the new Science You Can Use (in 5 Minutes) details results of the Wilderness and Fire Workshop in Gunnison, CO that discussed the dilemma posed by managing and prescribing fire within wilderness. A synthesis paper of these discussions presents the threats posed to wilderness by unprecedented fire deficits as well as opportunities to overcome barriers to using prescribed fire in wilderness.
